Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the unsalted butter and white sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and pink dragon fruit puree.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
  7. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  10. For the frosting, beat the unsalted butter until creamy.
  11. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well.
  12. Mix in the vanilla extract, heavy cream, and pink dragon fruit puree.
  13. Frost the first layer of cake, then place the second layer on top.
  14. Decorate with edible flowers if desired.
