  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop portions of dough, encasing a dollop of Nutella inside each cookie.
  8. Space the cookie dough balls evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
