  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp melted unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for topping)
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting, fresh berries, and maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
  2. Arrange brioche slices in a single layer, slightly overlapping.
  3. Combine eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over brioche slices, ensuring each slice is soaked.
  5. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Mix brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla for the topping.
  8. Spread the topping over the soaked brioche slices.
  9. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar, fresh berries, and maple syrup if desired.
