  • 2 ribeye steaks, 1-inch thick
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

Instructions

  1. Remove the steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking.
  2. Season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet over high heat until very hot.
  4. Place the steaks in the skillet and cook undisturbed for about 4-5 minutes for medium-rare.
  5. Flip them over and repeat on the other side until your preferred doneness is reached.
  6. Add butter, garlic, thyme, and rosemary halfway through cooking.
  7. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
