Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 cup cooked white or brown rice
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then drizzle with half of the teriyaki sauce.
  4. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  6. Heat olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat and sear the avocado slices for about 1-2 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove the cooked salmon from the oven and gently break it into large flakes, drizzling the remaining teriyaki sauce over it.
  8. To assemble, layer the cooked rice at the bottom, followed by the teriyaki salmon and seared avocado slices.
  9. Finish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds, chopped fresh cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice if desired.

Notes

Use fresh salmon and ripe avocados for the best flavor. Ensure proper cooking time for salmon to avoid dryness.
