A delightful and savory sauce adding rich, buttery flavor with garlic, lemon, and fresh herbs, perfect for steak lovers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 Garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 small Shallot, finely minced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Lemon, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Thyme, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Fresh ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Start by placing 1/2 cup of unsalted butter in a medium-sized bowl. Microwave it until completely melted—this should take about 30-60 seconds.
  2. While the butter is melting, finely mince 4 garlic cloves and 1 small shallot. Once the butter is ready, combine the minced garlic and shallots with the melted butter, stirring to blend the flavors.
  3. Next, whisk in 1 1/2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard, the juice of 1 lemon, and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce to the butter mixture. This will create a rich, flavorful base.
  4. Finely chop 2 tablespoons of parsley, 2 teaspoons of thyme, and 1 tablespoon of chives. Add these fragrant herbs to the butter mixture, along with 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes, 1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
  5. Whisk everything together until well-combined. You should have a smooth sauce ready to elevate your steak.
  6. Finally, pour the sauce into ramekins or serve it directly over your grilled steak. This sauce can also be drizzled generously onto cut steak for an elevated dining experience.

Notes

For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt or low-fat mayonnaise instead of butter. Ensure to taste and adjust seasoning.
