  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (15-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups mostaccioli pasta, uncooked
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef over medium heat in a large skillet until fully cooked, stirring occasionally, and drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Transfer the beef and vegetable mixture to a slow cooker.
  4. Pour in marinara sauce and diced tomatoes, then stir in oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 hours.
  6. Stir in uncooked mostaccioli pasta.
  7. Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover again and cook for an additional hour on low.
  9. Serve hot, and enjoy!
