Ingredients

Scale
  • 1214 medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 jalapeño cheddar sausages, sliced
  • 2 soft-boiled eggs, peeled and halved
  • 1 fresh jalapeño, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil (canola or olive)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • ¼ cup red bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk or half & half
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili oil (optional)
  • 1 ramen noodle block

Instructions

  1. Begin with seasoning the shrimp: toss the medium shrimp in a bowl with paprika, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, heat the oil to medium-high heat and sear the seasoned shrimp for about 2 minutes on each side until opaque and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced jalapeño cheddar sausages and brown them until golden and slightly crisp, then set aside with the shrimp.
  4. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic, diced onion, and red bell pepper, sautéing until fragrant and the onion is translucent.
  5. Pour the chicken broth into the pot, along with the soy sauce, and let it simmer to meld the flavors.
  6. Gradually stir in the milk, cream cheese, and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Add the ramen noodles to the pot and cook until tender, stirring occasionally.
  8. Return the sautéed shrimp and sausages back into the pot, stirring gently to combine and heat through.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with soft-boiled eggs, fresh jalapeño slices, and green onions.

Notes

Ensure shrimp are fresh for maximum flavor and avoid overcooking them. Season throughout the cooking process for the best flavor.
