  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and optional red chili flakes. Stir until well blended.
  2. Coat the Chicken: Toss the chicken pieces in cornstarch until they are evenly coated.
  3. Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Add the coated chicken to the hot oil, cooking for 3-4 minutes undisturbed, then stir occasionally until golden and cooked through (6-8 minutes total).
  5. Add the Sticky Sauce: Pour the marinade over the chicken and simmer for 1-2 minutes until thickened.
  6. Prepare the Noodles: Cook the noodles according to package directions, drain, and toss with a little oil.
  7. Combine Chicken and Noodles: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the chicken and stir to combine.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes. Feel free to add sautéed vegetables for extra crunch.
