A delightful fusion of creamy cheesecake and fresh strawberries wrapped in soft, buttery dough.

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the softened butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gradually add the milk and vanilla extract, stirring until a dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
  6. Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth for the filling.
  8. Add the heavy whipping cream and beat until thick and fluffy.
  9. Spread the cheesecake filling evenly across the rolled-out dough.
  10. Roll up the dough tightly and slice it into 1-inch rolls.
  11. Combine the chopped strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  12. Pour the warm strawberry topping over the rolls.
  13. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  14. Allow to cool slightly before serving, topping with whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For best results, let the cream cheese soften before use. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
