A delightful dish that combines corn on the cob with a creamy sauce of butter, brown sugar, and garlic, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cloves garlic, halved
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 6 ears corn, husked and halved
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

Instructions

  1. Combine 4 cups of water with halved garlic cloves, kosher salt, and black pepper in a large stockpot over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Stir in whole milk, cubed butter, and brown sugar, returning to a boil.
  3. Carefully add halved corn ears, ensuring they are submerged, and simmer until just tender, about 10 minutes.
  4. Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped chives.

Notes

For extra flavor, add cayenne pepper or smoked paprika. For a creamier texture, add more whole milk or heavy cream. You can use frozen corn instead of fresh, just reduce cooking time.
