Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, halved
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 6 ears corn, husked and halved
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

Instructions

  1. Combine 4 cups of water with the halved garlic, kosher salt, and black pepper in a large stockpot and set over medium heat until boiling.
  2. Stir in the whole milk, cubed butter, and brown sugar, allowing the butter to melt and form a creamy mixture.
  3. Add the halved corn ears to the pot, ensuring they are submerged in the sauce. Let simmer for about 10 minutes, or until tender.
  4. Serve the corn hot on a platter with the creamy sauce drizzled on top. Garnish with chopped chives.
