  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened, for frosting)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 23 tbsp heavy cream
  • A few drops of pink food coloring
  • A pinch of salt (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Beat the softened butter and sugar together in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture, alternating with milk.
  6. Divide the batter among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
  9. Beat the softened butter with powdered sugar until smooth for the frosting.
  10. Add vanilla, heavy cream, and a pinch of salt, mixing until creamy.
  11. Mix in pink food coloring until desired blush is achieved.
  12. Frost the cooled cupcakes and decorate as desired.

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for best results. Avoid overmixing for fluffy cupcakes.
