A refreshing and creamy homemade Watermelon Ice Cream that captures the essence of summer in every scoop.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of pureed watermelon
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Remove the rind from the watermelon and cut it into chunks. Blend until smooth to create a vibrant puree.
  2. Strain the puree through a fine sieve to achieve a smooth texture.
  3. Combine the pureed watermelon, heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions for about 20-25 minutes.
  5. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container, seal it well, and freeze for at least 2-3 hours until firm.
  6. Scoop the Watermelon Ice Cream into bowls or cones and serve immediately.

Notes

Choose a ripe watermelon for the best flavor. Chill your mixing bowl and ice cream maker components beforehand to achieve ideal texture.
